Creole Culture is a newly formed apparel company that strives to
promote the unique and colorful cultures of Louisiana. Creole Culture
is the cultural fusion of African, French, Spanish and Native American
cultures into the manifestation of the Louisiana Creole. From the
people - to the food - to the music and festivals, there is a distinctive
heritage that tells the story of who the Louisiana Creole is. It is
through Creole Culture that we plan on telling our story. And it is
through Creole Culture that we plan on honoring those diverse cultures
that made Louisiana what it is today.
The Creole Flag, at the top of the page, has a rich and diverse history.
The upper left section represents Louisiana's French heritage while the
upper right and lower left represent the West African heritage of the
Republic of Senegal and Mali respectively. The lower right section
represents Louisiana's Spanish heritage.
As there are Creoles that populate the Caribbean and South America, it
is our intention to produce apparel products that recognize our sister
cultures as well. They played a significant role in shaping Louisiana
and because of this we are forever indebted to them.
